How do I make money writing ebooks?
I am a freelance writer. I often get requests from my clients for writing ebooks. How does it actually help me in making money? I have scores of ideas. Can I make some decent money if I convert them into ebooks?
I think it depends on how skilled you are at marketing yourself on-line and in traditional ways. You can definitely make money if you are able to get your work talked about enough to generate good sales. The royalty rate is much better with e-books than traditionally published ones. Good luck!
you can get paid to ghostwrite ebooks for people, or you can write your own and sell them from your own site or Amazon (or both). The biggest hurdle is advertising and marketing your book, since practically everyone and their grandma has an ebook for sale.
If your clients are requesting ebooks, then you already have a platform to sell to. As Lydia said, your sales will be reflected by how well you are able to market yourself. Sometimes writing is the easiest part. Price your books reasonably and let your clients know about them. The best books to write are those that solve problems for others; books they will refer to over and over. If they find the books helpful, they will tell others. Word of mouth advertising is best. Perhaps you could include some client testimonials in your books as well. Oh, and with the POD options out there, don't limit yourself to ebooks alone.
Good luck!
Great idea if your work makes a difference to any person's life why not sell ebooks

How many words should an ebook have? For example if you are writing a non fiction book based on someones life. I know some are quite short, and others the length of a published novel, but what is acceptable? Thanks!

So other than the fact that Google has apparently decided I am a crappy writer and my traffic is down from 17k a day to maybe 1600... with a similar decline in income... Do we yet know why this happened? Feeling a little bitter. Have had to take on enough clients that I rarely have time to...

I am curious what kind of experience e-book authors have had. I am at a crossroads right now and am trying to make some decisions about where to focus my writing. I could focus more on HP or I could do the e-book gig and see what happens. What kind of experiences have people had...

How do you make money writing erotic fiction?Inspired by NewHorizons' recent question. Are there any websites where you can publish for money upfront or a revenue share? What are the prospects for selling it yourself (e.g. as an ebook?) Would you be allowed to put adsense ads on an adult site?
