How do I make the large gray boxes on my page that I have begun seeing in hubs?
I have looked in editing tools and tried them but I am not doing something correctly. They are used in hubs to showcase a point or a quote usually.
Please advise and thanks.
Hi ps, these grey boxes are in fact the "call out" feature. When you hover over the "insert capsule" in edit mode where you can select text, photo, Amazon, eBay etc....call out is the last choice in the menu.
That is great information John I was also looking for that information. I can make then and scan them into a but it is a lot of trouble and time consuming.
Hi PS, yes, John is correct. You can choose it to be a quote and it will place the quotations or you can just use it a big gray box to highlight something. I love them for quotes. Shyron it is no trouble at all.
Patricia, I recently needed to use those grey boxes on one of my hubs, and went searching to find out how.
I found a "sort of" explanation, which eventually helped me along the way, but I almost lost the will to live in reaching that goal.
Yes, it's the "call out" feature, but how confusing, and why call it that?
Good luck, and best wishes.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
After reading the comments, I may be wrong, but if you mean what I think you mean, you have to be in edit mode and the text you want to highlight has to be FLUSHED RIGHT. Once you have your text in "right position," three small boxes appear on the upper left of the template. You can choose white, gray, or blue. Click on the one you want and when you're done entering the quote or text, save it and it will appear highlighted in your hub.
I hope I've helped!
Oh, no, that is not to what she is referring, Marie. It is a feature that HP adopted from Squidoo as John stated above. It is a new capsule called "call-out" which can be used for quotations or highlighting.

A feature I would find handy is having all of the Hub Metrics data (word count, revenue potential, incoming links, view duration, date published (already on other stat pg) and short url) found on another stat page. It could even be called "Hub Metrics". This one page would have all...

It would be useful to be able to sort our hubs into categories on the profile page. This would make it easier for readers to see what else is available in subjects that interest them, and also remind writers to work on a niche. I think the option was available on the old profile page - was it...

I can find an existing hub on my account page but when I try to feature it on my profile page I can't find it on the menu (as if it doesn't exist)

I have a high bounce rate in the eighties and I have read it should be at 50 . Is this true? Can anyone share how they get their bounce rate to the fifties?
