I remember the scent of her  lotion
and the feel of hands  after all this time
I remember the curve of her forearm
the way it lay upon mine

Once I dipped my finger across the little jar
and then touched her on the shoulder
bending over for a   scent her neck
    and becoming a little bolder

I remember how she looked up from dressing
and her eye's began to smile
we never made it to the dance that night
yet we waltzed  just as well for awhile

What is it about the touch of a woman
what is it about her  scent
Maybe just maybe it will last forever
though forever  has come and went

You could put this poem to music on your dobro or slide guitar!  And turn these poetic words into lyrics!
( Record on cassette player. )

This verse would be a great chorus:

" What is it about the touch of a woman?
What is it about her scent?
Maybe, just maybe, it will last forever ...
Though forever has come and went."

and I love the title: "Hand Lotion" smile

Yep, old memories can sometimes keep us company. Reminds me of a poem I wrote last year sometime - Shadowy Dreams Keep Me Company ....

Love your poem and the title. You could make it for advertisement.

It was the scent of her Jergens Lotion
reminding me of roses in the summer
    the softness of her skin
    making her touch so tender
