What is the most read book of all time apart from the bible or religious literature?
I love reading and especially like autobiographies and personal development books.One book that I read that has coincided with many people´s bookshelves is ¨The Alchemist¨ by Paulo Coelho.
Homer's books and Shakespeare's books are I think the most read books in history.
Today many writers are gaining too much attention like Paulo Coelho, Stephen Mayor, and many more. Some 7 years back I started reading J. K. Rowling's famous novels on magic "Harry Potter" and I am still a big fan of her. I pray that she start writing again because I love her writings.

Why do some people actually contend that the bible is the word of God when any logicalperson knows that the bible has been interpreted, reinterpreted, written, rewritten, and even altered by men according to the suited purposes of the religious authorities at a particular time?

What non-fiction book have you read that has changed your life?Personally, I have had a few, but the one that sticks out for me is "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge. It talks about fatherhood and having a warrior heart.
