Over used figures of speech What are yours?
Mine are: I have too much on my plate right now. ...
My kids use this one all the time and it drives me crazy....That was then, this is now.
I do use but in proportionate manner, it helps many times, but not with regular conversations
1.) If I had a dime for every time I heard that, I would be rich by now.
2.) Time is against me...
3.) Keep it up... and you'll see what I mean!
My all time favorite line...
If you don't quit that I am going to tear your leg off and beat you half to death with it, then throw it out in the yard for the dog to chew on.
That line worked for about 15 minutes. But it was the most relaxing 15 minutes we had experienced in years... but I still say it often.
There are a bunch I hear all the time on TV and radio that I wish they would stop using simply because I'm sick of hearing them:
Throw him under the bus.
We need closure.
boots on the ground
for me it's: Are you serious?
I get tired of folks saying "as well" instead of too and also.

Just wondering what people think on this topic, I don't want to know how much you do it, just wondering if anyone thinks there is a standard or rule as to how much!I'm of the thinking that 3-4 times a week is acceptable.
