    Great romances - hmm.... difficult really.

    Have you read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte? I know it's a classic, but it really is worth reading. So is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Actually, all of her novels are marvellous. Then you could try reading some of the books by Christina Jones. They are light hearted and funny, romantic ideal for a cosy evening in. Try Love Potions for example by her.

    Though I've never read the Notebook or saw the movie, if you liked that my guess is that you'd like the Time Traveler's Wife.  It's a really interesting variation on the romance genre.  It's a great, one of a kind love story!
