Wow, that was a while ago. I did it under the parent company, which was a management consulting firm. The CEO wanted to publish books. The first thing I did was go to a workshop to figure out everything that was involved. Then I began looking for printers, finding out about how to get ISBN numbers, establishing copyright through the Library of Congress. There was a lot to learn. And that was just to get the physical book printed. Then you had to market it.
Fortunately, the parent company bore the cost until we got the first book out the door..
