What I feel, that peace is something positive,we approve it of.Where as silence can be negative sometimes.we don't approve of silence, when we feel lonely. This is very simple but I take their meanings this way.
Silence is the absence of sound/noise. Peace is a much larger concept that has nothing to do with the sense of hearing.
Peace and silence are different, but silence can be a key factor in the allowance of peace. True peace, however, is sustainable in any environment and comes from a conscience that is in harmony with one's principles.
Peace is harmony in my sense where calmness can be felt.
Where as Silence is quiet within a group of people.
Peace is harmony amongst people or a nation, silence is quietness.
For me silence is the absence of sound, either external or internal (thinking) and peace is contentment to be either silent or in chaos depending on what you need at that moment--it is being present and content in whatever your current situation.
