I've been not-so-secretly writing a novel for the last eight years. I just recently finished it and have been battling out the agent finding process ever since. I think a lot of writers, professional and otherwise, have a novel floating around at some time or another. Some do it as a hobby to relax, while others are doing it in hopes of turning it into a career. I'm the latter, but the publication process is a pain.
