What book from your childhood absolutely needs to be made into a movie?
Extra points if you can create a "fantasy" cast from contemporary actors
Castle roogna. All unknown but talented actors. The early xanth novels in general.
There was a purchase of the rights to the early Xanth novels almost a decade ago, but the option expired. At the time, SFX weren't necessarily up for the challenge and LOTR hadnt proven that such a movie could be a commercial success. Any of the Xanth novels would be big hits in my opinion and the would definitely make my list! (In fact, Dragon on a pedestal, did make my list of most personally influential books in a hub written a few years back)
Great Choice, keep em coming!
Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume, actually I think they are making a movie about this book right now, cool.
Just as Long as We're Together by Judy Blume....a lot of her books would make great movies.
Winnie-the-Pooh but this time without American accents and by an artist who understands and appreciates the beauty of E. H. Shepherd's original drawings.

What book would you like to see become a movie? Who would you like to see as the star(s)?Why that book? Why those stars? Explain why the book would be a good movie and the actor(s) or actress(es) chosen would make good characters.
