How often do you go back and revise your articles on hubpages?
Do you revise when it is marked as sleeping, or do you go back on a regular schedule?
I revamp older articles by updating images and videos and tweaking the text here and there. Mostly it works and gives them a little boost. I've had one sleeping hub which I revised straightaway and it's been fine since.
I do the same as chef de Jour. I mostly go back and tweek when someone has visited one of my old hubs. I figure since I'm there, I may as well spell check and do other other edits. It does help and it makes me feel better. LOL
If and when I come across material either in books, booklets, leaflets or the Internet that I think might be suitable for adding to existing Hub-pages I save it for when I have spare time to add the material. At the moment I've got a 'waiting list' of original Hub material and I've got to catch up with my fourth book in the RAVENFEAST series. Who knows when I'll get a round tuit (they're still in short supply).
I check my article list every day and try to work on revising articles that are not getting any action, or are asleep. I do not get the time to do this every day, but I feel I should revise at least 2 per day, due to the fact that google seems to control most if not all web writing.
I have absolutely no time to do any revising, so my hubs just sit there, in repose. But my hubs are not factual, and most are fanciful and silly, so there's nothing to revise in them at any rate. I wouldn't want to change anything about them, because I personally like them as they are. Since I'm not on HubPages to make money, or to do anything other than practise my writing, it makes no difference to me whether they're visible in a search or not - I doubt anyone would search for the things I write about!
In short, I make no revisions at all, and probably never will. I will make my living elsewhere, and HubPages will continue to be what it always has been for me, a great big creative writing club.

One item that was important to me when I originally signed up for HubPages was finding out if the site charged users for reading articles or for writing new articles. It might encourage more memberships if wording was added to the "Welcome to Hub Pages" landing site. My recommendation is...

Will they still be allowed to continue writing for the niche sites or will this site be diluted as our best writers and their work leave for a better deal?

When it was first introduced I was annoyed by it but made an effort to tweak my hubs to get them out of Idle status. Now, a whole load have got zzs against them again and many of them are hubs that at one point were very successful and even now still have scores above 70 or higher. One of the hubs...

I am experiencing an overall average off 66 percent less page views per day, for seven days versus a week previous and for the past two months. Such a huge drop in page views makes me think that Google has tuned up something again. I do know that I don't have the time and energy to keep...
