How do you get inspired to write more?
For all you writers and non writers out there, do you have any suggestions for those wanting to get back into their writing, that have maybe put it off a bit? Hubpages is such a wonderful site, and ought to be utilized more in this regard.
Any thoughts on writing more, and how you get that done in your own life?
May not be the most helpful answer, but I just write. Try not to limit what it is. Whatever pops in my head that I like, I scribble it down for later. i'd sit down and work out story details, free write and then comeback and focus it once I got it all down. It was a difficult habit to get back into and even if it's just 15mins a day, it's better than never writing a word at all.
I also look for sentences and paragraphs that I think would be a good writing prompt, as well as making my own.
Reading is also a very important aspect, at least in my experience. Keeps my imagination sharp.
A serene scenery, a beautiful piece of music, an interesting face, a piece of dialogue I managed to overhear.... a great book, a newspaper article, an interesting question on hubpages...there are so many things that inspire me, but only few of these inspirations end up on paper....
I write NOT only about the things that interest me, BUT what I think will help or interest others. Since people are always dealing with SOME kind of problem, that alone provides me with TONS of inspiration.
And lately, I've been forcing myself to write something everyday, which is why HubPages is a platform that works well for me. IT FORCES ME TO WRITE--to write better and under time constraints.
The structure here puts limits on my time.
That is an excellent reason to write, to help others! Good idea to encourage others to do the same. Curious to know more what you meant about time constraints, but I may have an idea. I am wanting to write more also. Hubpages IS perfect for that.
Well, since my time is divided between other places, and the fact that I want to maintain a presence online, it forces me to develop a SOLID article within, let's say, a few hours or a few days.

Now that summer is almost here, do you think you will have more time to write or less? For some people, summer is vacation time. That means they can either write, write, write or slack off and just enjoy. I'm curious to see which way it will go.

I am at a point where I don't know if I should spend the little time that I have updating my numerous hubs across 4 accounts, or just ignore, and write new hubs. It has become tiring. I haven't had the inspiration to write more, just because I am made to feel that all I have written in the past...
