Something unexpectedly humorous. If you can sense what is about to happen then the funny ending is kind of spoiled.
I love sarcasm and snappy dialogue. Sometimes I might not laugh, but read the entire scene grinning from ear to ear.
a rabbit falling off a cliff while drinking a cup of coffee...I really miss those days when cartoons are actually funny.
The unexpected turn in the conversation or any unexpected act in the story. I'm usually gratified when the punch line of a "joke" set up in previous pages comes to fruition at the precise moment.
