What is your favorite thing about Twilight (movie/book/both)?

I'm not a fan of the Twilight series but my fiancee is and I know many other people that read all the books or made sure to buy all the movies (or both), but I just can't see what the appeal is and I'm curious to see what everyone's favorite thing about it is.

Sparkling handsome vampires...a dream to the ladies.but majority of men consider it so gay...We are on the same boat here. I love the Twilight series but my hubby insist that it's not worth reading or watching. Nonetheless, I always win in forcing him to accompany on the movie house, it's all about learning the art of persuasion. ahaha

The atmosphere of the work, especially in the first two novels. Truly effecting.

I only just watched the final movie last week, so it is the freshest in my mind.  I read the books a while ago before the movie deal was announced, but I loved all three. (I've also read her next book which has also been made into a movie and I enjoyed reading that book even more, though it never quite seemed to appeal to the same audience.)  The romance in Twilight is quite enrapturing and the characters are uniquely colorful in their own ways.   However, back to the last movie.  The very best thing was the fight scene in the second half when the Cullens and their witnesses face off against the Volturi. The good thing about not having the books fresh in our minds, is that this scene left both my husband and me aghast!  We were like, I don't remember that happening to our favorite characters (in particular Carlisle Cullen).  And then came the twist right at the very end. It was a brilliant fight scene that left me on the edge of my seat the whole time.  Of course the song at the end, "A Thousand Years" sung by Christina Perri was very touching.  We watched the movie from the fight scene about three more times before returning the video to the store.

My most favorite thing about Twilight is probably both because it is a story that keeps you interested from beginning to end.  The good thing about the movies is that it does follow the book closely for the most part.

It was easy to read. It didn't challenge me to think more than I wanted to, but it gave me a story that was compelling enough to keep me going from beginning to end. Meyer got straight to it, didn't make me wait for an info-dump about characters or setting, provided an atmospheric setting and an interesting concept.

And I LOVED the fact that Edward made Bella wait until they were married. Loved that, considering how sexual a lot of young adult fiction is!

The books are the best part. The first two movies were horrible since they were still trying to figure out how to work the series, but the third one is the best. I haven't seen the last two because I don't want to see her fake pregnant because that girl cannot act. Plus I would feel so sorry for Edward since she keeps sleeping around with people.

I am not ashamed that I am a complete twihard.  I love the love between Bella and Edward.  I love the way Edward has an almost worshipping love for Bella.  My husband and I just re-watched all of the movies and I've started reading the books again for the third or forth time.  I really think the writing is incredible.  I get annoyed with people who disparage the books and the author... I am an English minor and a long-time-lover of fiction, so i think my opinion is valid here.  I just.  I love the books and the movies.  I love the story, I love their relationship, I love the writing.  I'm sorry if this answer got rambly.  I'm a huge fan.
