I want to pass this on to anyone, like myself, who is new to the writing and publishing world.
I joined Hub Pages 4 short weeks ago as Moneylady.
One of the first to respond to my one little poem, “Baby Teeth Blues”, was mdawson17.
He liked what he read and encouraged me to keep writing, so I did write several more children’s poems.
After reviewing his profile; I realized that mdawson17 has been a published author as well as a publisher for over 7 years.
I reviewed his listed website and contacted him.
Because of his experience, advice and encouragement; I thought he could help me get my first book published
And he did just that!!!
In record time I have a published book in hand
AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL!
From one little poem 4 weeks ago to a full color – 80 page book in hand! And 75 copies sold
If anyone needs help in self-publishing, I highly suggest that you contact mdawson17 here at Hub Pages. You will be glad you did!

I know a lot of people will say that this isn't necessary but wouldn't it help reduce spammers. Admit it, most of the people on HP who spam are without a bio and avatar. I know there are some sock pockets that go through the extra trouble to create real-looking accounts but I am sure that after a...

I believe on the value of confidentiality of online writers. Hubpages do provide that leeway to all hubbers to decide the kind of profile pictures to post. However, no offense to anybody but I just felt disgusted to see a picture of a half—naked body in our forum. I am not sure...

Hi,It's somewhat irritating to find that my hubs have to wait 24 hours until they are published. I understand this if someone is new and you have to test the first dozen or so hubs, but to apply all forms of censure to everybody regardless, seems somewhat harsh...Or am I missing something here?
