How do you feel about ghostwriting?

Recently I've been accepting various ghostwriting jobs. While, it's been financially lucrative I find myself wondering if it's worth it to put so much effort into something I'm not even able to publish under my own name. Thoughts?

I work as a freelancer and I have my days that I wish my name was on the books that do awesome on Amazon. But then I remember the money fed my family and kept my kid clothed, so hard to be too upset. If you love to do it, then you are getting paid to do what you love and it doesn't get much sweeter than that.

I think it's a great way to make money, but also an opportunity to help others get their story across in a way they otherwise could not.

In the spirit of writing to me it seems to be without soul; primarily because the excellent writers do not get due-credit and it seems to intensify society's ridiculous advantage given to people of great popularity for non-writing reasons...
