What are some of your favorite horror writers?
I'm looking for more horror authors to read.
Richard Mathenson: Very underrated despite having tons of his short stories turned into Twilight Zone episodes (remember Terror at 12,000 ft. about the Gremlin). Also, I am Legend is a great story and very influential.
I'm not into horror stories, but Stephen King is the master and not just for scary stuff. He has written helpful tips for any writer to follow in his memoir on writing.
Can I count myself? I write science fiction and horror; a number of my stories are Hubs.
C.J. Cherryh would be my next choice.
