April is National Poetry Month.  I am going to be publishing a haiku every day.  Who's with me?

It does not have to be a haiku for you.  I am just curious if, as writers, you will take part in a poetry challenge.

OK. How did I think it was March?  Oh, well.  Looking forward to reading a lot of great poetry this month.

Don't feel bad.  I usually remember at the last minute, but this year, I was ready. (chuckle)

Its in my pyschic diary and has been for some time. I actually want to do a Hub on Haiku itself. Alas! Looks like it's going to be awhile. Good on you, though. How's your health, by the way? drop me a line.

Hi, Manatita.  Loved your Mamba flash fiction. I'm doing well....hanging in there. Thanks for asking.

i hadn't intended on doing something like this, but now that you mention it. . .I might attempt it. Although I am not sure I have the time. When I write poetry, it is most often fairly effortless because it just comes to me naturally. Something sparks an idea and out it pours. Whenever I purposely sit down to flesh out an idea or to do something like write for a challenge, it usually takes more time, thought, and effort. I know it can be done, though. It could be good for me, provided I find something things I want to write about or something I want to say. It's not as easy when the muse doesn't present a topic seemingly at random. I can tell you one thing, however, and that is that I will not likely be writing any haikus. I don't usually do well with structure and rules when it comes to poetry. Oh, make that two things. I look forward to reading yours. At least I'll try to read them. I'm so busy lately that I hardly get to read anything anymore online or off.

For the last 88 days I have been working on a challenge of 101 pieces of paintings, part of my 101 Days Of Creativity (which ends on April 15th).  I know life can get busy, so I have to challenge myself. You don't have to do haiku. Write your style.

Hi Gina I didn't know it was poetry month. I'd love to give it a try! I will write Haiku with all of you but if I feel I need to write another style of poetry can I also include that as well?

Write whatever style you are comfortable with.  I decided to attempt haiku as a challenge.  I would love to have you join me.
