If someone asks "How are you?", are You more likely to answer "well, thanks" or "good,thanks"?
I'm good, thanks, because I think you're asking if my day is good or bad, and not whether I'm healthy or well.
Actually, I would either say, "OK", or "Fine". I think that only close friends or family would like to know your real feelings. To the others, it is merely a salutation.
