    I read this one last evening and I agree with your assessment, Brenda.  It’s a good, encouraging article, and it underscores the truth of all this: comments or not, if you come to HP and dedicate real, hard-working time to your craft, you can make a steady income.  It has become more challenging over the years, but it’s still workable.  Most importantly, I suppose, is that the HP community will always prevail.  These threads are proof positive of that fact.  Thanks for pushing these good articles, Brenda.  And thanks to Poppy for putting this one out there.  Happy New Year, gang!

    As Poppy wrote, so many other sites have come and gone.  HubPages does manage to have staying power.  All of the other perks of writing on this site are true.  We get free tutorials, free editing, money that can build over time, and a wonderful sense of community if we choose to engage with others.  Thanks for sharing this Brenda!
