      Hello Andrea!
Beautiful set of ten thoughtful poems, which I found inspiring, igniting hope, with a positive message. I agree with other fellow writers that you have expressed some deep thoughts, which need to be read and re-read to be interpreted correctly.
Nice response to the word prompt.
Thank you Brenda, for sharing this in the forum.

You can't rush through this poem. It is worth the time it takes to digest its richness, with references to the great philosophers and their contributions to life's adventure. Good work!

I agree with MsDora, this poem has so much depth and the references to Greek philosophers and other historical figures adds to the interest. A compelling read.

    Andrea
Welcome to our Word Prompt Series.

I wish this pandemic would end soon too.  I personally have had enough of it.

I hope this challenge has helped you.

Your poem, "Treasure Paradiso" tells us how time seems to be running out.

In fear, we try to touch those last diamonds of life together.
    To make each moment precious.

Cut off from the rest of humanity, we try to make sense of it all.

We ponder the reason wondering if this is the natural order of things.

    Perhaps a plan by God.

Or maybe we can defeat it once we figure out the science behind it.  Perhaps it's in the numbers.

So many thoughts to consider as we watch humanity disappear.

As we stand divided, perhaps our education isn't enough to meet our needs.

Or we have become so accustomed to life the way we know it, that we are unwilling to change.

We need to get past this!

We need to feel love & compassion for one another and see the beauty surrounding us.
To work together to find a solution.

We need to stop being prisoners and reach out to find hope.  There is a in glimmer in all things.

Let the stars shine in your life again .

Let those who are weak and tired return to the earth.

As if a sacrifice was made to give the world back a sense of harmony & balance.
Let sadness be removed from our hearts.

This is an exceptional piece of poetry.

I hope I understood the meaning you were trying to convey.

    If not, please correct me.

I'll post a link in the word prompt article.

I think your interpretation of the poem is beautiful. I want people to read it and find and come up with their own meanings. I feel like it’s one that should really belong to readers. I don’t want to stand too much in the way since it’s a poem that I think will resonate differently for each person.

Plato’s Cave allegory is at the heart of it, which I think is a text people can relate to right now with the pandemic. In the allegory, there are prisoners who are chained in a cave and can only face one wall. They’re so used to their situation that some of them are afraid to leave and go into the real world. The allegory is also about how our understanding of the world and universe is limited and we should expect more.

I think we’re all kind of in these caves, but there will be a day that we’ll be free from them, when the pandemic will end and even beyond that—life has a lot more in store for us than we really know.

The shackles might be looser than we think.

Thank you Andrea for explaining the Plato's theory.
        That helps.

Each reader usually does take away a different idea.

        Let's see what everyone says.

        Have a great day.

Andrea takes us on quite the journey with her poems!  Yes, I can safely say that we are all tired of the effects of this pandemic.  I feel extra sorry for all of the medical people who are stressed beyond belief, plus those who have lost family members to this disease.  Let us all reach for the glittering stars and hang on as best we can.  Thanks Brenda for sharing her work with us.
