Please take some time to read this personal experience of Vanita.

Hello Vanita,
Thank you for sharing your personal experience with one of the trustees of an educational institution with you.
I am sorry to read this bad experience and that you had to face so much stress due to this. It was wise of you to leave that job, to protect your mental peace.
Such elements can be found everywhere, in work places, in families, who leave no chance to destroy your metal peace, because of their behaviour or words.
It’s good to avoid them, but it’s easier said than done.
Honestly, I have also faced such situations and people in life, but I am happy, I was able to deal with it. It hurts most, when you are most sincere in your work.
Thank you for sharing this with others. It might help others to act wisely, if they face similar issues. And, most importantly, you must be feeling lighter, by writing about it, since I do believe that writing is therapeutic.
My best wishes to you.
Thanks, Chitrangadaji for sharing and for your kind comments and feedback. I sincerely appreciate your goodwill.
It is true that such nasty elements can be there at any work place and even in relationships. Situations are worse when such people are there in crucial positions.
Today morning I also received a message in feedback to this article that education should be protected from such elements and that they should be exposed. Education definitely should be protected from such unworthy people. I was wondering as to how much are such people “unexposed” ? Their wrongdoings are known.
As mentioned in the article, these people take pride in being able to escape legal actions of their wrongdoings, thanks to loopholes in our systems. Ethics don’t seem to bother them much ….
I agree that writing, like other forms of art, does have a therapeutic value. I wrote this article with an earnest concern and wish for conditions to change for good.
Best regards to you.
Thanks, Vanita, for sharing your bitter experience. Such people exist in every field, and the one thing common is that they have inflated egos and lack the farsightedness and intellect to work with a team. There are no easy ways to deal with them. My experience has been either avoiding them or taking the logical hierarchical route upwards to complain against them.
Thanks for your write-up. I hope you get out of the unfortunate situation soon and with full dignity. Thanks, Chitrangada, for sharing Vanita's work.
Thanks, Ravi for your time and feedback.
As mentioned in the article, the incident narrated here had taken place more than a decade ago and I had left the job for better prospects soon afterwards.
The person in question here was the son of the Chairman of the institute. He was one of the owners. The Chairman, who understood the problem principally, as well as his other family members, were also suffering because of his bad conduct. But right kind of strong decisions of keeping his role in the institution in control, if not altogether removing him, were (understandably - ??) not being taken ….
This is not merely a narrative of my personal experience. It speaks about conditions prevailing in the field (as well as in other fields), which require due attention and actions.
Thanks, again
Best wishes to you.
