Live Life While You Can.

Updated on November 15, 2012

If Today Were Your Last Day

Each Day on My Page of a Social Networking Site, someone leaves a thought always beginning with...........Live Every Day As If It Were Your Last..........Sometimes a short video is attatched, or a few words of wisdom.

This would be mine..........

Live every Day as if it were your last,

Get the chamagne party started......fast,

No worries of a hangover tommorrow

Enjoy today, because it is your last......

Live Every day as if it were Your Last,

Call the neighbours over to your ´lust fest.´

Choose a neighbours´wife, for swapping... make a start.,

No need for guilty feelings, Today will be your last,

OR ........Hopefully, I would have less selfish thoughts,

Such as the following.............

Live every day as if it were your last,

forgive the unforgivable, forget the past,

call each person who has cruhed your soul,

tell them they´re forgiven...... It´s all gone.,

Live every day as if it were your last,

Hug your children , like you´ve never, in the past.,

Remind them of each wondrous time together,

remind them that it´s love that binds forever.

Live every day as if it were your last,

Cram every second of the day with love

Phone all your friends and family, speaking only kindly words,

And let them know you´ve never meant to hurt,.

Live every day as if it were your last,

Let loved ones know what´s really in your heart,

Anything you´ve failed to say...... Now is the time to say it.

words of comfort, apologies, You Nail It !!!!

Live every day as if it were your last,

If you have a partner take a special hour,

Sit upon a mountain, breathe in the fresh air.

Or sit upon a clifftop breathing Ocean air,.

Live every day as if it were your last,

Take hold of, don´t let go of, your loved one,

Love each-other one more time until you are one person,

Show all the passion of your life in this one exertion

Live every day as i it were your last ,

Be kind, show love, give comfort from your heart ,

With no regrets, no grudges kept, , you´ll start......

to leave a legacy of love if this day were your last..

Wow! I always knew that the last day would come but I never considered what I would do if I knew tomorrow was the last! I would pop the champagne as you mentioned, and not worry about a hangover, since tomorrow would never come. Kind of scary to think about, yet very real and down to earth. This is very inspirational and I needed to read this today. Thank you! Voted up!

      Dear Dim,

The path of life I have lead leaves a bitter after taste full of regret and sorrow, yet I felt my soul soften after reading these brilliant and inspiring words woven.

I arose today with a hateful plan of action against ill feelings toward life, yet as I read this, my heart and mind tentatively require me to another idea of living life. The anger builds, the hurt buries my will of forgiveness, yet with these words, I shall heed my day out of love.

      So, thank you.

Alastar .....!!!!! Thank you for the comment.

l have to admit it was inspired by the nasty car crash involving both my daughter , her husband and MY husband recenlty.

My husband is lucky to be alive. Cut out of the car by wonderful firemen, helicopter lifted to a hospital 80 miles away., patched up and slowly recovering., but it´s going to take a while. Can´t explain how l feel.

I agree with your thoughts about having a bash and breaking open the champagne. There's no time like the present to prepare for our last. Life is so short and we must make good with the time we have left. I'd have me a good old Irish Wake and have them fill my cowboy boots with stand, prop me up in the corner and squeeze a cold Guinness into my hand and toast to the new journeys awaiting me on the other side. Hugs, Cheers.

You know, whenever anyone says I need to live life like there's no tomorrow, I have to ask myself if this person realizes just how many violations against man and God that would involve. :)

Dear Epi man. So so good to see you on my page. You are too kind with posting my efforts on your facebook. I truly appreciate your friendship.

Did I tell you the poem was inspired my a recent car crash involving my husband and daughter?... It made me think of how we should embrace and speak out love for all those we care for. We never know when it may be too late,. Thankfully my family are recovering well, but it was quite a serious crash and shook me into thinking....´What if?´´.

I shall be over at your page in an hour or so after l do my nursing bit, now hubby is home.

Thank you again and please take care.

Dim, I'm terribly sorry to hear of your husband and daughter's accident and hoping they are fully on the road to recovery. That does tend to make life seem all the more precious. Several things recently have reminded me of life's fleeting nature and I can appreciate the sentiment behind your words. It took me many years to fully realize the true depth of my love for my hubby and I've been very blessed to find the true love of my life.
