Which way should the toilet roll be put on the roller, facing in or facing out?

    Facing out. I fought it for a long time, but now I like it that way.

    facing out if you're male, facing in if you're female  After long discussions with random people at work, that seems to be the opinion

    I think that if Newton and Einstein had known each other they would have met in Vienna at least once a year to debate this. I think the answer is facing out. That's just a humble guess, though.

    Facing out definitely! Easier on the wrist for effcient and rapid extraction, you know? More ergonomically-friendly to boot!

    In the end, it all works out the same in that you are still pulling from the top of the roll just from a different side.  Logically, it would seem the best approach would be to orient it with the end to the top and facing outward.  This allows the potential user to visually see the end of the paper and easily grasp it on the first try.  With the orientation to the top and back, the end of the paper may not be visible and will require some feeling around to search for it.  This wastes time and contributes to the inefficiency of the production.
