20,000 Marines and 80,000 Army soldiers will loose their jobs at the beginning of the year.  Here we go with more people out of work and no jobs.  More homeless, more people loosing everything they have.  With these cuts Homeland Security will be larger than all the military branches combined.  The NWO is coming faster than most think.  Let's discuss

I hope they will have transferable skills towards getting jobs yikes or least be able enter training to update their skills. I heard somewhere, one gal's hubby couldn't get a job with existing skills because information was closed to the employer. Why the feck a employer would doubt one from the military is beyond me other than showing extreme disrespect hmm

I do not understand why our government just doesn't do a hiring freeze across the board on virtually all federal jobs. They could then proceed to start saving serious money each and every month by use of attrition and transfers.

Perhaps because the necessity of jobs does not correlate with retention rate of the people doing them.

That's why I included the transfer thingy.

It also doesn't correlate with having some person already on staff who could be doing it but for some reason isn't.  Generally you either know how to identify rabies, fly a helicopter, profile a serial killer etc or you don't.  A great many federal duties are not  'learn on the job' sort of things.

Internal transfers and retraining already occur but the main priority is to get a competent person on the job.

Congress agrees with me, not you.

"...members of both the House and Senate have recently introduced bills that call for a reduction in the federal workforce by 10% over 10 years through attrition (e.g., by allowing agencies to hire only one new employee for every three that retire)...."

Of course, this probably means that you are the one that is right. lol

            Our current government isn't competent!

              You state:

The government doesn't agree with me
              and
              the government isn't competent

              Ergo, perhaps I am right.

Yes, they have frozen things like the hiring of meat inspectors and inspections have dropped due to those empty positions which required specialist veterinarians not currently on staff.

Have you noticed how many meat recalls and pet food recalls there have been lately, and how many videos of animals being tortured at slaughter facilities. There was a recall of a meat company that provided food to the school lunch program for slaughtering collapsed animals that might have had mad cow disease.

Do you see the connection I am drawing?

You do know that both the House and Senate leaders just instructed Homeland Security to put you on their watch list...?

I guess I won't be getting that green card if that happens.... But at least you can't say I am an apathetic would-be citizen.

There must be a better way to keep up the defense of our country. I never heard of layoffs of military   What is with Obama?  It's all the millions of pet projects like bridges to nowhere that need to be fixed.
