My garage door doesn't open with the manual switch or the remote.
I've tried adjusting the beam so don't think its that. I have a Chamberlain 1/2 HP motor which is only 18months old. I have no idea how to fix this problem. Anyone got any ideas?
You probably need to get it fixed but half the time, it's something extremely simple. Before you call in the serviceman, check if there is power to the unit. It is possible that the power has been accidentally switched off, or the breaker might have tripped.

Is it possible to use an older and different brand remote on a new garage door opener? Replaced...on overhead door opener (about 8 yrs old) with a chamberlain and wanted to give one of the old remotes to my visiting kids for entry to our home since we are elderly.

Hey John! I have two garage doors right next to each other, and I have 3 remotes that all work...one door. Can I program one of the remotes to the door with no remote and make it work just that one door? Thanks for all your help! Chris
