How do you clean out an infrared "searing" burner in a gas grill?
(I am trying to get rid of the carbon and ash so it lasts longer.)
these is where you cook your food so make sure you use the correct products, you can rinse with hot water, and you can also mix warm water with vinegar in a bowl use a clean cloth or cleaning brush and clean the entire area, the vinegar will kill any bacterias and also leave it very clean .

My gas furnace is blowing cold air some of the time. The burner kicks in for about 10 seconds...then kicks off, then the fan starts.(blowing cold air).
