Goats are often used in our area to clear foliage of all types from hillsides. They are very effective. I don't think they are good in gardens, unless you want them to keep everything trimmed back!

the best place to put goats is in an area that has thistles or gorse as they love eating them. Farmers use them to get rid of these weeds. Though in saying that they also poop out seeds of these plants.
Sadly they also love flowers and veges so yep they are extremely harmful in your garden.

we have cows and sheep and all sorts of animals the bear live young and give us milk and wool and leather. Why do we need to have a goat? Plus they don't smell very nice!
