    I used to work in the construction field in various capacities ... as a designer, a Realtor, and a construction supply buyer.  However, when I went to build my own home, the construction superintendent would not do as I asked unless my husband also spoke with him about it.  Grrr!

    A cable company contractor showed up at my house to install cables. He was drunk. It was awful and I had to make him leave.

    I'm a contractor and the worst experience with any home improvement comes when you're living in the home, with a tight schedule and there's a snag. When remodeling a home for myself, we was tearing off the roof we found that the kitchen had been in a fire which was never disclosed so I had to replace much lumber, just at that time a tropical storm developed on top us,. It ruined much of what had already been done and forced the schedule back 6 weeks.
