Which trees put the most oxygen into the air and so would be best to plant to help our environment?
I guess they'd have to be evergreens, as deciduous trees wouldn't do much in the winter, but would they be something like a cypress or fir that has lots of needle-like leaves, or something quite different?
Denise Handlon, I wondered if the fir types of trees might have more surface per square metre than ones with large leaves that are more spread out. Do you think that rainforest trees produce more oxygen than trees in other places? I just don't know - that's why I asked the question as I'd really like to know. We'll have to wait until someone comes along with the answer.
