Which house plants are easiest to grow?

What house plants are the easiest to take of?

I love plants in my home, but I've been know in my family as "plant killer." I buy them and then they die on me.  Which house plants are best for me and people like me?  Assuming, of course, there are other plant killers out there.

ZZ plant by far ... this from a long-time plant killer.  I have brought every kind you can imagine into my house and they immediately go into a decline.

I have had this large ZZ plant for several years now and it is thriving!  I have gotten lots of cuttings from it and they are doing well also.  I wrote a hub about it, with pictures.  It is a beautiful plant, graceful and with shiny oval leaves.

The easiest to grow houseplants would be ones that are low maintenance for their owner.
Plants in the succulent or cactus family would be a good choice.  They can thrive on neglect.
Bromeliads and Kalanchoe instantly come to mind.  They are very easy to grow, are undemanding, and you don't need a college degree to grow them.
Both species have amazing blooms.  So long as you meet their light requirements, they can be moved outdoors when the weather warms.

By far the easiest are the cacti family, they practically look after themselves and they only need limited watering but not direct sunlight
