    Hmm... how about Peas and Pole Beans. Both work very nice in containers, and climb like the dickens.

    Tomatoes do a good job of climbing and can be trained very well.  The other plants I about think about are strawberries.

    We have plants growing on containers. We have bittermelons, and the hyacinth bean. My mom plant them every year, specially the bittermelon. The hayacinth bean that's climbing now was from last year, it had stand the last Winter season and showing some purple flowers now.

    And there's my Jasmine too that's been on a container since I got it and it's been doing well. I'm using metal trellis for it.
