What tips and suggestions would you give someone who was going to move house soon?
The task can almost seem insurmountable. First get rid of things that you don't need, it is pointless moving things that you will never use. Sell them on Ebay or take them to a charity shop or give them to friends.
Then start packing the things you won't need before the move. Label each box and also the room it is destined to go into. Write this down on the top and side of the boxes.
Alert phone, internet, gas and electricity suppliers of your new address. Contact banks and anyone else with whom you deal with. Many want to know beforehand.
It can be a stressful time but with a little planning, it will run move smoothly.
