    Absolutely.  It is very important also to know the reputation of the inspection service.  Our home inspection was so thorough, they even pointed out which windows stuck when you tried to open them.  It was very helpful and saves you a lot of heartache and money if there is something big and expensive that you missed when trying to by the house.

    I'd agree.  In 90% of cases it's worthwhile knowing if there's any potential nasty surprises in store.  Only in the case where a property is bought with the intention of substantially renovating it can a Home Inspection survey be dismissed.
