Have you ever experienced any severe weather that caused damage to you or your home?

About 4 or 5 years ago, or maybe more--there was a hail storm that damaged the roof on a house that I use to live in. Many people in the town where I live had to have their roof on their houses repaired. Luckily then I had house insurance, which paid for the repairs to the roof. I live in northern Iowa, and there have been many violent storms through the years. A tornado hit a small Iowa town where my family and I use to live in northeast Iowa, but it didn't do any danage to the house where we lived. It did damage the chimney on my grandmother's house. The tornado did wreck other people's homes, though.

Yes I have. It's pretty expensive. New roofing had to be purchased.

Years about 6 years back, 3 hurricanes criss crossed Florida putting a foot of water notonce but twice thru the whole house.

We live in Pensacola and were here during Hurricane Ivan.  We were so thankful that we had no major damage to our home, but our yard was crazy.  Trees down everywhere, debris from others homes, so much stuff it was crazy.  It took weeks to get everything cleaned up.  We had good friends with homes completely destroyed who had to stay a year or more in other homes before theirs could be rebuild.  This was just before Hurricane Katrina landed in New Orleans.

Just last week Pensacola had the second highest amount of rainfall in recorded history.  We were OK again, but again, so many people lost possessions.  Weather can be dangerous.

We have had 2 storms with severe winds this year that caused damage. The storm in February knocked down 3 sections of fence in our pool area. The storm 2 weeks ago knocked down 1 of our lilac trees and stared to tilt the other lilac tree.
