Why are my plants not getting any bigger?
I have several bell pepper plants and tomato plants that we started in containers and then transplanted in to our raised garden however they seem to have stopped getting any bigger while the rest of the vegetables we planted are growing great. Any ideas as to why this is happening and any way to solve the problem? We are located in the swamps of Louisiana could the soil have something to do with it even though we tilled the ground and used garden soil?
My peppers do that every year. Usually between 8 and 10 inches tall. I have several about that size now and their growth has been minimal the last couple of weeks. For us it seems normal. However lack of growth can be from any number of things. The soil, too much water, too little water, too much sun, too little sun. It really is hard to say. How often you water a pepper plant is very important as it not only determines growth but flavor in your peppers. Sorry I'm not more help, but I would like to read other answers.
