If I had my way, I'd have light curtains over my windows to let the light in to help me wake up at the crack of dawn. I enjoy staying in bed with my laptop on my lap and writing, or perhaps getting dressed quickly and darting out to a coffee shop to do some writing. I am freshest when I first wake up, most productive and ready to take on the day within the first 7 hours of being awake, but I definitely need the dew to still be on the ground.
Yawning, stretching my arms, opening my eyes and getting dressed. (In the spring/summer I listen to birds wake me.) Then having a nice breakfast. After breakfast make my coffee and sit down to I write.

Are you a morning person? Are you a night owl? How do you deal with mornings if you aren't a morning person? If I have to get up before 9 AM I do not want to hear anyone's voice for at least 30 minutes or I will bite...
