    Got a favorite heirloom tomato?

    I grow big ole heirloom tomatoes very year, I try something new New to me) plus, I grow a few old favorites. Do you have a favorite Heirloom Tomato? The photo is of Gold Medal tomato.

    Unfortunately i had never heard of them before. But the one on the photo looks delicious. Our supermarket sells the mass produced specimens. Without much taste :-(

      It is definately time for you to go to the farmers market to get some decent fresh tomatoes.

    Nice looking tomatoes! My favorites to grow are the Pleated Zapotec heirloom variety. They've got a great ribbed shape and flavor to match.

      I grew those last year, I agree, they are excellent. Many of them made it into salsa and canned tomatoes.
