How do you remove rust stains from your toilet bowl?
I tried the Lysol Power and Free which said it will remove rust stains and lime buildup but so far it hasn't worked. Do you know of any remedies to get rid of rust in a toilet bowl?
I have never actually tried this, but I did watch a video that looked useful from about.com on youtube. She shows how to remove the stains without chemicals using a special pumice scouring stick. Amazon sells them for around $9, so this would be a little pricey, but might be just what you need! It worked in the video and I read reviews which said it was helpful...but again, I have never tried it. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjuaAKzt9Tk. Or, you can go to youtube and search for the title "How to Remove Toilet Rust Stains." Hope you find a solution that works!
Not sure if you still have this problem, but citric acid is really good at removing these hard water rust stains. You can also get a commercial product called Super Iron Out. Anyway, if you're still interested I have a hub about removing these kind of stains (the part about cleaning the toilet is nearer the bottom)
