What is the rate of germination for 'Tiny Tom" tomato seeds?

I have planted around 15 seeds of Tiny Tom. Only two germinated. Is it common? We have rains here now. I wonder whether I planted them at the wrong time.

With this particular variety, if temperature is kept consistently and sufficiently warm, your tomato seeds will usually germinate within 5 to 10 days (at 80% efficiency). It is Ideal to keep temperature range between 70 to 80F (21 to 27C). The lower the temperature the slower the germination. Perhaps your issue is temperature? Temperatures below 50F (10C) or above 95F (35C) are poor for germination and your rate of germination will be well below the expected rate of approximately 80%.

      Hi John
      Thank you
I think the it was because of the cold. Or may be I watered too much
I have to try again because I love this variety of tomato. It looks gorgeous though I am not sure about the taste.

You are most welcome. ndeed that would reduce germination.
