Gardening newbie question. What perennial shade plants you know?
I want want to know more shade perennial plants or flowers aside from hosta and ferns. Pls hep.
Hosta is a very common one that does well in many areas, but it is not an evergreen. My favorite is the Lenten rose: http://www.clemson.edu/extension/hgic/p … c1185.html
Lily of the Valley love shade and are easy to grow if you want smaller (4-6 inches) plants that will multiply pretty fast. Also, columbine are shade loving and have beautiful flowers available in several colors. Day lilies will do fine in part shade which is why you see them planted so often. Once started they generally thrive (and multiply) in most conditions year after year.
