Seems to be an epidemic of self-centeredness on the parents part as they are so wrapped up in what is being lost--income, luxuries, savings, integrity in the socio-economic status that they don't notice that loss should be in the home as far as weight gain issues. It is probably over-looked because depression weighs heavily int he environment and that can lead to over-eating and under-exercising . . .
