Is it better to live on a college campus or to rent an apartment?
I think this answer is going to depend based on the college you go to. First, depending on where the college is located it can be less expensive to live off campus, especially if you have roommate(s). I would also consider however, how many students at your school are residential. The college I attended was about 90% residential. It was more or less assumed you lived on campus, and decisions about things like when to hold meetings, whether to cancel class, or when events took place were based on this assumption that most people were on campus. Conversely, my sister goes to a college less than 2 miles from the one I attended, and it has a higher percentage of commuters, she lives off campus and doesn't feel like she misses out on anythign by doing that, like I think I owuld have.
