how much am i suposed to get back from letting someone file my kids on their income tax return
You get nothing. Only the person(s) filing the return and claiming them as dependents would receive any credits and deductions. However, if they are your dependents and not those of 'someone', it is not appropriate for that person to claim them as dependents. You should not be 'letting' someone else claim them as dependents if they are in fact yours.
