How did you know I'd downsized? LOL!
In fact, I've downsized a bunch of times over the years. Here are SOME of the reasons:
1. Going broke. Two bankruptcies, one foreclosure, losing jobs--those things all helped with that.
2. Getting divorced. Oh, wait, that would be going broke, wouldn't it? Six of those.
3. Empty nesting. One dude, his wife, two cats and a leopard gecko just don't need as much space as a family with a whole raft of kids in the house.
We havnt YET but we are considering it..probably next year..House is far to big for the two of us....seven bedrooms is far too exssesive

I have a serious question about the state of Americans and all the job losses, defaulted loans, housing market collapse, etc.Should the government have a one-time reprieve for people that have been damaged by all this?Bankruptcy effects your ability and rates for loans, insurance, etc for up to 10...
