Is it best to consolidate student loans? why or why not?
I will soon have student loans coming due. I want to pay them off as quickly as possible, but recognize I may need a year or so to make the payments really fit into my budget. Is it better to consolidate the loans? does it really save money - or is it better to just pay them individually as they come due?
I would say consolidate your student loans in one place, try and find a good bank set up a one monthy payment with a fixed rate interest plan, for the full payment duration.
This way you will know the exact amout of money to be paid for each month and the length of time you will be paying it.
