A Giant Eagle is about 1.3 miles from my home. A Walmart is about 2 miles. I live in a small town so if I want to go to a really good supermarket, I have to go about 60 miles.
I would have to travel six miles to get to the nearest grocery store.

How far do you commute to work?I drive 40 miles to work and though my car gets pretty fair gas mileage, I have to work one day just to pay for the gas. Of course, I work only five hours a day and not 8. What do you think? How far do you commute? Are higher gas prices...

How far is too far for a day trip?If you don't want to spend the night somewhere, how far is too far for just a day trip? We are considering making a 3 1/2 hour drive to the beach spending 3-5 hours there then making the ride back. Too far with kids? Would it be too far for you?
