How and What are You Doing to Make Ends Meet in These Troubled Times?
We've all cut back to the basics. I'm looking for other creative ways to make ends meet.
We budget our grocery bill a lot better. I make a lot of dinners from scratch instead of buying processed food. We find free things to do with the kids like craft days at the library, going to the park, things like that. We also eliminated cable and use Netflix instead. It saved us $50 a month.
I cook everything we eat, use coupons, we do not have cable, I sign up for as many free samples as possible, we grow almost all of our own veggies, and we bought a pool that pays for itself by keeping us at home more instead of going places to swim.
I buy all of my clothes, silverware, china, furniture, etc. at thrift stores. It has saved me a bunch. Also, I do most of my shopping at Kroger with the points method which saves me on gas. Every book I purchase is from amazon.com and used.
