What is your opinion of Credit Management Companies?
Do you think these companies actually help people? When you hear the commercials for credit consolidation companies do you believe them?
Well it depends on what they are telling you they will do. If they are promising to correct your credit quickly if you pay this amount, then they are not in your best interest. Often times those companies are collecting a profit by doing a lot of the things that we can do ourselves. I was a collector at one point in time and when those companies called us, we treated them the same way we treated the owners of the actual past due accounts. However, some are not for profit or non profits which are less likely to collect the fee. If they are charging fees it will be because they are doing work that you do not feel like doing or have the capability to do(i.e setting a budget for you, or contacting these credit agencies on your behalf.) However, at the end of the day, these are things that you are better off doing yourself.

Every day I hear someone talking about how bad the economy is...most of the time, from someone who hasn't a clue as to even basic economics. SO...let's find some viable charts and take a look for ourselves. http://dallasfed.org/data/data/us-charts.pdfTake a gander and let me know your thoughts.

Why is a credit score a factor in things such as price for auto insurance or employment?
