If I stay out of Malaysia from 15/12/2017 to 02/01/18. Do I pay 28% in 2018 again.
I have completed 180 days in KL and paying Resident tax now. I have resigned from my current job and will travel out of Malaysia on 15th dec 2017. I will travel back to malaysia on 2nd Jan 2018 with a new work permit.
Do I need to pay non-resident tax (28%) again in 2018 Jan onwards??
Note: My employer manages my Income tax so they have filed for income tax return. I will come back to Malaysia with new work permit and use the same tax file number.
Request for an answer.
